Baseball Recap: Willits Comes Up Short

Willits was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-9 to the Ferndale Wildcats. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Willits' loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willits will welcome Clear Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Willits has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Ferndale, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hayfork at 4:00 p.m.
