Softball Recap: Nogales Takes a Loss

Nogales lost to Ontario back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nobles came up short against the Jaguars, falling 16-6. The Nobles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Molia Halaholo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and 13 unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Gaby Gutierrez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Those hits were her first of the season.

Nogales now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ontario, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Nogales will challenge Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ontario, they are taking a road trip to take on Chino at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
