Football Game Recap: Union vs. Mustang

Union were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Mustang 44-3. That's another feather in the cap for Union, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Union's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 27 first-half points. Meanwhile, Mustang couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 27-0 heading into the break. Union put the match away in the third quarter with 17 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The victory bumped their record up to 3-2. The loss dropped Mustang's record to 1-4.

Next week Union take on Putnam City North at 7:00 PM. These teams both seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Mustang, they will face off against Southmoore. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
