Volleyball Recap: South El Monte Eagles vs. JW North Huskies

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South El Monte had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the JW North Huskies 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won four matches in a row.

While South El Monte won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 28-26, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why JW North lost, don't look at Audrie Vasquez. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and two aces. Vasquez has been hot , having posted 12 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

South El Monte's record is now 18-12. As for JW North, they moved to 11-20 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

South El Monte is on the road again on Saturday to play Rialto at 6:00 p.m. Rialto will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something South El Monte surely won't give up without a fight. JW North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
