Soccer Recap: West Florida Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Florida can now relate to. They fell just short of the Rickards Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Dakota Vann and Tyrin Joiner scored both of West Florida's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

West Florida dropped their record down to 14-5-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Rickards, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

West Florida does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rickards, they will venture away from home to take on Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fort Walton Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
