Football Recap: Cohasset Skates Past Plymouth North with Ease

The Cohasset Skippers humbled the Plymouth North Eagles with a 38-7 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Skippers just coasted through the last quarter.

Cohasset's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gus Greene, who rushed for 92 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. Greene is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Wildfire, who rushed for 45 yards and one touchdown.

Cohasset didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ollie Henry and Max Monahan. Cohasset got some further help from Daniel Baker: he made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Cohasset now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Plymouth North, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.

Coming up, Cohasset is taking a road trip to challenge Nauset Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. After each having a week off, Plymouth North and Silver Lake Regional will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
