Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Cardinals vs. La Jolla Vikings

The Hoover Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the La Jolla Vikings at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hoover came up short against San Diego on Friday, falling 70-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cardinals have suffered against the Cavers since February 16, 2016.

Meanwhile, La Jolla entered their tilt with Academy of Our Lady of Peace on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Pilots by a score of 49-40.

La Jolla pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Hoover came up short against La Jolla when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-51. Can Hoover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
