Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Ava Velazquez stepped things up a notch to give Arvin the 'W'. Velazquez wasn't messing around, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The pitching appearance was her seventh straight with two or fewer walks.

Velazquez's strong effort led Arvin over Mira Monte and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
