Baseball Recap: Adamson Comes Up Short

Adamson lost against Sam Houston back in February of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Adamson Leopards fell 5-2 to the Sam Houston Texans. The matchup marked the Leopards' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Daniel Duque was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Duque was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one double.

In other batting news, Juvencio Nava made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Adamson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Sam Houston, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Adamson has already played their next game, a 7-7 draw against Newman Smith on the 22nd. As for Sam Houston, they will face off against Garland at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
