Volleyball Recap: Lamar Has No Trouble Against Crowley

Lamar won the last time they faced Crowley and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Their offense was headlined by Nylah Charles and Brooke Smith, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Mary Hoeller and her 19 assists. Charles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Crowley, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Crowley will both be playing Newman Smith the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
