Soccer Recap: Athens Drive Comes Up Short

Athens Drive was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Broughton Capitals. One thing that didn't help Athens Drive's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Liliana Sines-Kleist.

Athens Drive's loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Broughton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Athens Drive nor Broughton have any future games scheduled.
