Volleyball Recap: Avon Lake Comes Up Short

Avon Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mayfield Wildcats.

Avon Lake couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Mayfield a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 31-29.

Nicolas Somoza Aranda was the offensive standout of the contest as he had ten digs and one assist.

Avon Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mayfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Avon Lake has already played their next game (against North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mayfield, they will challenge Chardon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
