Football Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Kewaunee

With a playoff win on the line, Kewaunee rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Marathon Red Raiders 36-6. The result was nothing new for the Storm, who have now won eight matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

The win was the ninth in a row for Kewaunee, bringing their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Marathon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Kewaunee will face off against Bonduel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Storm 11.1, the Bears 13.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Marathon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
