Basketball Game Preview: Hillsdale Falcons vs. Chippewa Chipps

The Hillsdale Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Chippewa Chipps at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hillsdale will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Northwestern, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Hillsdale took down Northwestern 69-52 on Tuesday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Huskies are ranked 764th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Chippewa was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Rittman 61-30.

Chippewa's record is now 9-10. As for Hillsdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Hillsdale opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-57 loss to Chippewa. Can Hillsdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
