Volleyball Game Preview: Spooner Rails vs. Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks

The Spooner Rails are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks on Thursday.

Spooner's tournament run continued when they took on Hayward on Saturday. The Rails fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Baldwin-Woodville was able to grind out a solid victory over Cameron on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Baldwin-Woodville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Spooner's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Baldwin-Woodville, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Spooner couldn't quite get it done against Baldwin-Woodville when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Rails avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
