Basketball Recap: Kennedy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hubbard

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennedy). They put the hurt on the Hubbard Greyhounds with a sharp 72-47 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kennedy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Dahl, who went 10 of 17 on his way to 24 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Dahl is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovani Naverette, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Hubbard, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hancock the next time they take the court. Kennedy will host Hancock at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Hubbard will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
