The Carlmont Scots will face off against the Capuchino Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlmont is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Carlmont's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Saturday, when they got past Terra Nova's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Scots walked away with a 12-8 win over the Tigers.

Jason Tofigh was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tofigh was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grant Goetz, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. John Dunne was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Carlmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Capuchino, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let Menlo-Atherton get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Friday.
The result came thanks to Declan Mendel's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. Capuchino is undefeated when Mendel posts eight or more strikeouts, but 8-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Anakin Manuel and Billy Ferreira did most of the damage at the plate: Manuel got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Ferreira went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Capuchino's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Carlmont, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Carlmont was able to grind out a solid win over Capuchino in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 5-1. Do the Scots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
