Brush won the last time they faced Haxtun and Sidney Miller did her part to make sure it happened again. The Beetdiggers walked away with a 45-35 victory over the Fightin' Bulldogs on Friday for which the team can thank Miller, who went 9-for-21 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. She is becoming a predictor of Brush's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is 6-1 (and 3-7 when she doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Kalli Castrup, who posted eight points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Haxtun lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Reagan Jones, who earned five points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Edwards, who scored nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Brush now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Haxtun, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Brush has already played their next matchup, a 40-38 win against Liberty Common on the 10th. As for Haxtun, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-38 loss against Akron on the 7th.
