Football Recap: Sycamore Skates Past Stewart County with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sycamore). They claimed a resounding 78-6 win over the Stewart County Rebels. The victory continues a trend for the War Eagles in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sycamore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hicks Hunter, who rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Hunter's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 122 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Scalf, who threw for 173 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sycamore was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 317 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Sycamore back to even at 2-2. As for Stewart County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
