Volleyball Recap: Santiago Takes a Loss

Santiago's tournament run continued when they took on Marina on Saturday. The Santiago Sharks fell 2-0 to the Marina Vikings.

Logan Chambers paced Santiago's offense, picking up five kills. Chambers got some help from Carson Chambers and his 11 assists. Finally, Pierce Willardson kept Santiago's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Santiago has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Marina's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Santiago has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Yorba Linda on the 22nd. As for Marina, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against California on the 22nd.
