Jeremiah Williams was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024. Kewan Petteway was another key player, scoring six points.
Torrington has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 55-45 to Hall on Wednesday. The contest was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.
Defeat or not, Torrington got some senior leadership from Adi Puskarevic and Logan Tucciarone. Puskarevic dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds, while Tucciarone put up ten points along with eight boards and five assists. Those 17 boards set a new season-high mark for Puskarevic.
Waterbury Career Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Torrington, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Waterbury Career Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Torrington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
