Basketball Recap: Winston Salem Christian National Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Winston Salem Christian National had won six straight games and Jocelyne Grier did her part to make it seven on Friday. The Winston Salem Christian National Lions snuck past the Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy Eagles with a 55-49 win thanks in part to Grier, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on her way to 27 points and five rebounds. The match was her fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of J'Niya Weaver, who posted eight points along with five boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played.

Winston Salem Christian National's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Winston Salem Christian National wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-47 win against Friends' Central on the 25th.
