North Creek needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Paige Geller. The Jaguars slipped by the Juanita Ravens 43-42 on Friday thanks in part to Geller, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

North Creek's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Juanita, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, North Creek won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marysville-Pilchuck at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Jaguars will be up against the Tomahawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Juanita and Inglemoor will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
