Softball Recap: Pikeview Wins Going Away Against Bluefield

PikeView barely beat Bluefield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Emma Compton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Bella Delida was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

PikeView pushed their record up to 14-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bluefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

As of now, neither PikeView nor the Beavers have any future games scheduled.
