Basketball Recap: Pepperell Takes a Loss

Pepperell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Trion Bulldogs, falling 79-42. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-48 back in December of 2024.

Pepperell's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Trion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pepperell won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Coosa at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trion, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Model at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Model has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three contests.
