Softball Recap: Redondo Union Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Redondo Union hadn't done well against North recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Sea Hawks never let the Saxons get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Sea Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Abby Luis, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. McKenzie Jamrog also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Redondo Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for North, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Coming up, Redondo Union will welcome Peninsula at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North, they will take on West at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
