Softball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Houston Mustangs, falling 16-3. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 11-3 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Molly Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Morgan Bonds also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bartlett's record now sits at 0-15. As for Houston, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Bartlett will be playing at home against Briarcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Briarcrest Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something Bartlett will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Houston, they will head out to square off against Ripley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ripley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Houston surely won't give up without a fight.
