Mountain Valley recap October 29, 2013

Banning scaled the state rankings by moving to 682 from 735 this week, the biggest jump in Mountain Valley. The Broncos climbed the ranks as a result of besting Rubidoux 28-21.

Jurupa Hills extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Rim of the World, 31-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Spartans.

Jurupa Hills' dynamic duo of Damion Wright and Kourde Roberts proved tough for the Fighting Scots to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wright threw for 181 yards and 1 touchdown and Roberts had 120 yards receiving. Derrick Spearmon helped Jurupa Hills' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.

Brett Kokesh was a beast in the backfield as Citrus Valley bested Notre Dame.

Kokesh provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Blackhawks defeated the Titans.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Notre Dame's Paul Bradvica and Anthony McMaster have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Bradvica has thrown for 1,909 yards this season, while McMaster has 37 catches for 641 yards. Jamie Taylor from Rim of the World leads the league in rushing with 1,556 yards.

Entering into this week's contest against Banning, Bradvica is short just 91 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.

At the moment, the Falcons are in third, while Edward Mcmillon's team is in second.

John Stockham's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,756 from 10,510. The improvement was largely due to a 28-21 victory over Rubidoux last week.
