Football Recap: California School for the Deaf Eagles vs. Fresno Christian Eagles
California School for the Deaf kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Fresno Christian Eagles 62-28. California School for the Deaf was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.
Despite the loss, California School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from Jaden Dingel, who rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards.
Tycen Ramirez had an outrageously good game for Fresno Christian as he threw for 115 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes. Joshua Kubota was in the mix as well, providing Fresno Christian with two touchdowns.
Fresno Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.
California School for the Deaf will challenge Turlock Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fresno Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Branson at 7:00 p.m. on September 13th.
