Softball Game Preview: Kenai Central Kardinals vs. Homer Mariners

Kenai Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Homer, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Kenai Central was ranked 13th). The Kardinals came out on top against the Mariners by a score of 11-7 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Kardinals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

For Homer's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Hinsberger, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

The victory got Kenai Central back to even at 7-7. As for Homer, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.
