Willits and St. Helena are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Wolverines will challenge the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Willits comes in on four and St. Helena on eight.

Willits' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 47-0 win over Cloverdale. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

St. Helena hadn't beaten Clear Lake on the road since September 27, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Saints blew past the Cardinals 36-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Saints just coasted through the last quarter.

Willits better focus on containing Julian Earls and Jhony Covarrubias as the pair were huge in St. Helena's win. Earls rushed for 88 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, while Covarrubias rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Eric Torres helped out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.

St. Helena was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 189 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

St. Helena's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Tristan Mowe and Ben Brakesman, who racked up four sacks between them.

Willits' record is now 7-1. As for St. Helena, their record now sits at 8-0.

Willits didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against St. Helena in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
