Football Recap: Monache Victorious

While Monache has struggled on the road with three straight losses dating back to last season, that wasn't the case on Friday thanks to Cooper Baxter. The Marauders breezed past the Hanford West Huskies to the tune of 34-0 with plenty of help from Baxter, who rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Monache's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hanford West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Monache and Hanford West will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Marauders see the field they'll take on El Diamante at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Hanford West, their break will end when they face Reedley at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
