Cornwall Central is a perfect 4-0 against Spackenkill since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Dragons will square off against the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Cornwall Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Goshen Central on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Spackenkill got the win against Rondout Valley on Thursday by a conclusive 17-3.

Cornwall Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Spackenkill, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Cornwall Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Spackenkill when the teams last played back in May of 2023, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
