Basketball Recap: Lewisburg Comes Up Short

Lewisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Oxford Chargers, falling 53-18. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-28 last Thursday.

Parker Moss was Lewisburg's leading scorer, having posted six points. Moss also led the team in assists with two.

Lewisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Oxford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Lewisburg has already played their next contest, a 52-38 loss against DeSoto Central on the 21st. As for Oxford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-52 win against Walnut on the 18th.
