Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Takes a Loss

Oak Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Mount Vernon Bulldogs an easy 70-46 win. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January.

Oak Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mount Vernon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Harbor will finish 2024 at home by hosting Edmonds-Woodway at 7:15 p.m. on December 28th. As for Mount Vernon, they will be home for the holidays to greet Sumner at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
