Volleyball Recap: Olentangy Takes a Loss

Olentangy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets. While the Braves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellowjackets 25-21 in the first set.

Olentangy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-21.

Evan Komitau had a dynamite game For Mt. Vernon., getting 19 digs and two aces.

Olentangy's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Olentangy has already played their next match (against Lakota East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mt. Vernon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Hudson on the 26th.
