Recap: South Lenoir Blue Devils vs. North Lenoir Hawks
The South Lenoir Blue Devils's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 29-24 victory over North Lenoir. The win was just what South Lenoir needed coming off of a 52-28 defeat in their prior game.
South Lenoir can attribute much of their success to Tyazhia Midgett, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gracie Tyndall, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
South Lenoir's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for North Lenoir, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Kinston the next time they take the court. North Lenoir will host Kinston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while South Lenoir will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
