Arkansas couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 20-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Catholic Rockets.
When it comes to explaining why Arkansas lost on Friday, don't look at Gabriel Braggs. Despite the final result, he picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. Braggs got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of62 yards.
Even if they lost, Arkansas' defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Rodney Kindley was especially locked on to Catholic's QB and sacked him twice. Kindley's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making 12 total tackles.
The victory got Catholic back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arkansas will head out to square off against Morrilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
