Montague took a 33-point defeat the last time they faced off against Manistee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mariners 24-22. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Although Manistee took the loss, they still got scores from Morgan Banicki, Braylen Zimmerman, and Ean Guenthardt.

The victory got Montague back to even at 4-4. As for Manistee, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
