Volleyball Recap: The O'neal School Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Myer Johnson and Lily Stanley

The O'Neal School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fayetteville Christian Warriors. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While The O'Neal School ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19.

Lily Stanley and Myer Johnson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Stanley had 30 assists and 16 digs, while Johnson had 24 digs and one assist.

The O'Neal School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fayetteville Christian, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, The O'Neal School will face off against Fayetteville Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayetteville Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Village Christian Academy on the 28th.
