Canyon View put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Otay Ranch Mustangs get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jaguars have posted since April 27, 2024.

Not much got past Emily Davis, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Otay Ranch off the board. Davis has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Canyon View let Sedona Hernandez and Brooke Downs run wild. Hernandez went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI, while Downs scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Canyon View's victory bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Otay Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4-1.

Looking ahead, Canyon View will venture away from home to square off against Campo Verde at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Otay Ranch, they will take on Grand Terrace in a tournament on Thursday.
