Basketball Recap: Conotton Valley Comes Up Short

Conotton Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 64-50 to the Newcomerstown Trojans. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Conotton Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Newcomerstown, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Conotton Valley will be playing at home against Strasburg-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Strasburg-Franklin will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Conotton Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newcomerstown, they will head out to square off against Garaway at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newcomerstown is facing Garaway at the right time seeing as Garaway is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
