Volleyball Recap: Park Hill South Falls Short Against Ranked Lafayette

Park Hill South faced Lafayette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sydni Lafasciano paced Park Hill South's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lafasciano got some help from Ellie Gibbs and her 21 assists. Gibbs also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brynna Fox, each putting up two.

Addy Wiese had a dynamite game For Lafayette., getting 19 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Wiese has posted over her last seven contests. Sylvia Caby also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Park Hill South's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Lafayette, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-1.
