Volleyball Recap: Morro Bay Triumphs

Morro Bay posted their closest win since September 13th on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Sanger West Hornets 1-0. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Morro Bay and bumps their season record up to 15-18. As for Sanger West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Morro Bay and Sanger West will both be playing Bakersfield the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Drillers at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
