Basketball Recap: James C Isabell Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kyra Weyanna and Taylor Bloomstrand

James C Isabell lost against Brevig Mission back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The James C Isabell Aklaqs took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brevig Mission Huskies.

Taylor Bloomstrand and Kyra Weyanna certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Bloomstrand posted 25 points, while Weyanna had 21 points. That was a full 42.9% of James C Isabell's points, marking the fifth time in a row Weyanna has scored more than a third of the team's points.

James C Isabell has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Brevig Mission, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

As of now, neither James C Isabell nor Brevig Mission have any future games scheduled.
