Two dominant guards in Angelo Moton and Neo Flores are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Leesburg Yellow Jackets will take on the Tampa Catholic Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Leesburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Leesburg had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 38-point drubbing they dealt Springstead on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets claimed a resounding 76-38 victory over the Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Xavier Campbell

| 12/06/25 vs Jones | 4 |
| 12/02/25 @ Bishop Moore | 6 |
Xavier Campbell produced another solid effort dropping a triple-double with 21 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in each of the last three games he's played. Noah Ford was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight boards and four steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Leesburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Springstead's also-impressive total of ten.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Tampa Catholic's strategy against Varsity Opponent on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Crusaders blew Varsity Opponent out of the water with a 94-25 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 61-8.
Tampa Catholic's win came from a few key players Leesburg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sohan Alla, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 19 points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mehki White, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Leesburg's record now sits at 4-1. As for Tampa Catholic, their record is now 4-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Leesburg has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31 boards per game. However, it's not like Tampa Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Leesburg strolled past Tampa Catholic when the teams last played back in January by a score of 76-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
