League recap: Rohrbach dominating on the mound for White River

2A SPSL league recap: 4/3/13

Zach Rohrbach was the best pitcher in 2A SPSL this week, leading White River. He won two games and struck out 20 batters.

Tysen Fischlin was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .533 average with four RBIs. Sumner compiled a record of 2-3 in that time.

Although the Hornets surrendered only one walk this week, the lowest number in the league over that span, Orting is still tops for the season with just seven walks over five innings this year.

The top hitter in the league so far this season has been White River's Cole Johnson, who leads all players in average, hits and RBIs. His impressive stat line for the season stands at 16 RBIs and 18 hits to go along with a .545 average.

2A SPSL's Rohrbach had a great week on the mound, as he led the league with two wins and 20 strikeouts.



Hayden Fagundes threw a shutout as he led Fife to victory over Clover Park, 10-0, on Tuesday. He pitched five scoreless innings and struck out seven, while giving up zero hits.

Logan Christensen threw a no-hitter this week in the Spartans' 3-0 victory over the Cardinals.
