Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Eagles vs. Lakeside School Chiefs

Trinity Christian is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lakeside School Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinity Christian is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Southern Prep Academy. Everything went Trinity Christian's way against Southern Prep Academy back in February as Trinity Christian made off with an 11-1 win.

Meanwhile, Lakeside School waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs have posted since May 1, 2024.

Demetrius Hardnett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lakeside School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Vachon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
