Volleyball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

If Augusta was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pepin/Alma on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beavers lost 3-0 to the Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran Lancers on Thursday. The Beavers were not able to make up for their loss to the Lancers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-15.

Maddi Meyer paced Augusta's offense, picking up five kills. Meyer were helped by Brooklyn Krueger and Rilee Bethke, who contributed seven assists each. Krueger and Meyer didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

Augusta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Whitehall on the 7th. As for Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Altoona on the 4th.
