Soccer Recap: South Davidson Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for South Davidson's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Bishop McGuinness Villains on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, South Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 577th, while Bishop McGuinness are ranked 154th).

This is the second loss in a row for South Davidson and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Bishop McGuinness, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Davidson will square off against rival Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. Meanwhile, Bishop McGuinness is set to challenge their familiar foe South Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
